During the first 10 minutes of playing the game, always my computer shuts off and restart. When it does restart it comes back with a different screen configuration, obviusly I cant play the game. What can I do?

I followed one the tips regarding installation where you copy the CD to the hard drive. Problem: when copying I get the error message 'cyclic redundancy'. It seems to be a CAB file that does not want to be copied. Is there any way around it?

I have had this problem with Microsoft games like Age of empires, age of empires 2, rise of nations etc. When I start the game, it keeps scrolling down to the right bottom of the screen even though I'm not pressing any buttons and quitting the game and closing it doesn't help.. ...
