Recently my computer has been acting up, when I boot it up
it goes through all the screens as normal, but the first
windows xp screen with the bar that moves across the
screen, after that loads my screen goes blank and nothing

My desktop is ~ 3 yrs. old, has its original video card
(3dfx voodoo), which I think is 16mb. Will upgrading this
card to a 64mb or higher give much benefit? Don't play
many games, just do the standard stuff - WIN XP, Word,

I upgraded to xp pro a few weeks ago and I'm very unhappy.
If I attempt to play a DVD that has a readability problem
XP sets the transfer mode to PIO. This renders the DVD
drive useless. PIO is only fast enough for CD's.

I've gotta a problem with my CD/DVD rewriter.  For some
reason it's given up the ghost and stopped working.  I
can't burn music, photo's or movies.  I get a message
sometimes saying there is no disc in the E drive, also

Hi I Pluged in a new hard drive and it is showen up on my
Device Manager but not in 'MY COMPUTER' It also show sup
in BIOS. What should I do. The drive I am pluging in is
NTFS and the drive I have as my prim is Fat32. Don't know
