I upgraded a win 98 built system in 2001 to windows xp, I continually get a blue screen, telling me that I have a hardware failure, and to notify my hardware vendor. they can't tell me anything, it always passes all the test's.

Just loaded windowsxp on a new hard drive, and the usb ports are not recognized. Board is MSI Mainboard KM2M Combo Series with VIA KM266 chipset. I loaded all the drivers for the board, but still nothing. The usb ports are dead. Help!? thanks.
