Following some good advice here I am trying to update drivers...
The procedure was to press F6 while XP boots.... but nothing happens....
Is there some parameter I have to set?

i have a 200gb hard drive and a 30gb in my pc my
motherboard suports it but windows xp only says there is

Hi, I am trying to set up a new SATA hard drive and in
the BIOS of my Gigabyte MoBo it offers a choice of
either "Base or Raid". I know about "Raid" but can anyone
please tell me what "Base" is all about?

only just noticed this, but my cd writer isnt listed in
my computer, the drawer will only open while booting up
and device manager is only showing the dvd drive, there
isnt even the yellow question mark to say it recognises

I periodically get the typical XP recovery message saying that an error
occurred by a device drive and I should send it to MS.  It always flags a
device driver but I have yet to determine what device driver it refers to.
