I have just had to reinstall Windows XP on my comp. It
did it all fine but when I looked at hard drive all my
old programs were still there? My desktop and program
list are empty? How do I format the disk to erase

I wish to copy a large file to a re-writable CD Rom as it
is too big for a floppy.  My problem is that once the
file has been copied onto the CD it becomes a read-only
file. (The original file on my C drive stays as normal)

When I record a data file onto my  CD RW  the file then
becomes read only on the cd rom.  How can I change the
read only so I can write to the file?

  Just bought a new 40gb hardrive (ExcelStore j340) to run with my existing
hardrive for storage and was wondering if there is a software etc that will
install it and partition it etc so all I have to do is basically connect it
up...I have a slot and the cables already in the back ...

Has anyone else noticed that Speedstep doesn't seem to workright with
Windows XP?  My computer is constantly running slow when on the AC adapter

I can not install a new printer due to a Windows
Installer Error window.

With XP SP1 currently installed, I changed the Bios
settings for the Athlon XP 2600+ to run at 3200+ speed.
The initial boot progresses to the operating system boot
then shows an error message in DOS that the ntoskrnl.exe

When I try to boot into safe mode ) with F8), The computer loads down to
where it tries to load a file called "MUP.SYS", then it goes no farther.
Any suggestions?
