How can I stop my computer from installing HP printer every time I boot17 Jan 2004 18:13 GMT5
It drives me nuts, every time I start my Laptop at work, it installs my HP
printer. Isn't one time enough. How can I stop this. Please, any help is

I'm trying to install a DVD +/- RW and it will not
recognize DVD+R blank discs.  When I first installed the
hardware, Windows shut down and gave me an Error:

I am running Windows XP.  I connect to DSL internet
through an ethernet connection.  I installed a new
Firewire card and everytime I tried to use it (plug the
Camcorder in, etc) I lose my ability to connect to the

I am running 98 and have a Sagem Fast 800 modem which is
working well. I have started to install XP and have
received the message that the modem may not work. I have

I have added an AIT 50 SCSI tape drive to my XP Pro pc. I
am looking for a way to access the drive just like you
would access a local hard drive. And also be able to move

My system has been working perfectly, until now, I have a normal (old)
Phillips CD-drive and a (old) HP 9900 cd-writer dvd-rom drive.
If I put a normal cd-rom in either of the drives, I can see the autoplay
tries to read the cd (mouse cursor changes).

I have repeatedly tried to install a Belkin USB PDA
adapter (I had it installed properly and then it stopped
working properly).  I installed the drivers but then
every time the hardware wizard tries to install the
USB 2.0 Scanner on USB 1.1 System (XP): recognized, but does not work17 Jan 2004 16:25 GMT2
I run a Sony Vaio PC (Win XP, SP1) with several USB 1.1 devices attached.
All fine.
Now I tried to install a Plustek ST48 USB 2.0 Scanner. During set up, XP
gives me a message saying that the USB-device is a high speed device, but

I am contemplating adding an extra 256MB DDR RAM to my MSI MS-6533

I am trying to install Windows XP on my machine running Windows 2000. I
wanted the computer to boot from CD ROM as I wanted to install it this way
so I could wipe the current partition. Unfortunateley the BIOS wouldnt let
me alter the boot settings - all drives were stuck on auto??? ...

I have an Audigy 1 and XP Pro. I have a CD buner with Roxio EZ CD/DVD
Creator 6.x Plantium.  Where/how do I transfer a music LP to CD??  What is
required??
