I have been trying to format my Western Digital 160GB
Hard Drive in Windows XP PRO with the NTFS file system.  
The formatting starts ok, but then seems to hang after

When I power on the computer, the monitor does not receive a signal. I have to turn the computer off from the rear switch on the tower and then turn on again from the front button. Then all is okay. I do this every morning. HELP!!
