i am having trouble getting windows xp to recognise my new
hard drive. the hard drive is 200gb. xp only shows it as
137gb. i have enabled the regisrty to accept larger drives
and have installed service pack 1. but i still cant get xp

One of my PCs is an oldie and I want to squeeze the most processing
power out of it:
Mobo: ASUS TX-97_XE
CPU: AMD K6-3/400 MHz (FSB @ 66.6 MHz)

The hardware:
Sony VAIO PCG-R505 notebook, with docking station
Matshita UDJA730 DVD/CD-R/W drive in docking station, connects via 1394
interface

I have just completed my 10 install of XP Pro, all on ASUS
MBs, Though this last one has me beat.... Try as I might I
cannot get it to accept the driver for the monitor no
error it just does not even attempt to use the install

i am doing an assignment for college about wireless
networks and would greatly apreciate any information
anyone has. if anyone has information could they send it

I want to trash my old hard drive.
When I install the new drive can I install my existing
copy of XP on the new drive?

I would like to know how to intall a new hard drive with XP CD. I've installed the drive and can boot from the full windows CD but it is asking for the previous windows (ME, 98, 95 etc..) verification disk. I do not have any of the old windows programs any more. What is the best ...

I have a Disgo 236 mb usb storage device.
Works on 12 other computers but not advent 3417 running
xp. Computer recognises something being plugged in but
keeps asking for driver. No driver needed nor available

My DVD-R/-RW drive can read DVD's but nothing else. It tries to read
from the CD's but fails. It even fails to read the product recovery
CD's for my computer so it can't be a problem with the CD's
themselves.

I have 3 drives in my PC and a CD/RW
I have Windows ME on my C: Drive (Primary IDE Master)
Nothing on my D: drive (Primary IDE Slave)
CD RW as my G: drive (Secondary IDE Master)

Can anyone help?
