after loading windows xp professional my logitech optical
wheel mouse quit working. I am not real computer literate
but can find my way around. If anyone could help it would
be greatly appreciated.

Upgraded to XP Pro on my laptop (Dell Inspirion 5000).  Now my internal modem will not work.  Tried installing a PCMCIA modem, but it didn't work
When trying to dial I don't get a dialtone and the modem doesn't dial
Any help?  Could this be a Windows or a driver issue

i'm really getting desperate now. i have windows xp. the
sound driver i had was a yamaha ac-xg one. when i turn
off the computer the driver seems to uninstall itself and
under sound devices it says there is no playback device.

I had a fluky thing happen today.

I'm working on making some major changes for a friend's box and he's
got a D865PERL mobo.  I've backed all of the user-related material off
and installed WinXP/SP1. I'm able to get drivers for everything except

I've recently bought a SCSI Seagate DDS3 (python 04106-xxx) tape drive and
have a few problems:
   1) When backing up data the drive DOES not compress data, even though in
device manager the properties on the drive show that compression is enabled.
