i had bought a new USB joystick, and i'm using Windows XP SP 1, normally usb hardware is plug and play...
windows can detect the USB joystick but it show me "USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED" << one of the usn devices attached to this computer has malfuntioned, and windows does not ...

I imaged a Thinkpad 600x with WinXP Pro sp1. The image was created using
setup manager and sysprep. I have done this many times over for win2k
systems but this is the first using XP and the XP versions of setup manager
and sysprep.

I have just bought a dvd writer which i tried to attach to my pc , the problem is i have 2 hard drives and 2 dvd roms which are connected by double ribbons on to the mainboard , it does not matter how i connect them there is allways one missing from my pc when they are connected  ...

Is there a way of preventing Windows XP Pro from automatically installing USB Scanner if it's already been installed, but moved from one usb slot to another? Seems to be the same with other usb devices too

My DESKTOP machine is running Windows XP Pro SP1 with the Linksys WRT54G
router.   I have a LAPTOP that is running Windows 2000, and I would like to
allow it to "connect" to my DESKTOP so that I can copy some files from it

A fellow worker thought he'd do us a favour and fix an XP box and
changed the Bios in this TUSI-M mobo by seleceting 'Load Optimum Settings'.
Since then it does not boot altho' all lights are on etc.
Any ideas how to get this back?
