Just had windows98 updated to WindowsXP home and now  I
cannot get the scanner working.I t just keeps saying
switch on the scanner and it already is. Also I want to
move all my old  e mails and adressess and files to my xp

I just bought a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 4.0
The first thing I noticed right out of the box was that the mouse wheel doesn't make the
usual clicking sound. It just turns smoothly without making any sound. Scrolling is just
horrible.

Where can I get a driver to make my new Pioneer 107 DVD
RW work in my Windows XP computer.

replaced my hard drive but cannot find the Disc.

I have been searching now for a while on MS download
sites for a usb patch that will enable me to use my
sidewinder products that have a gameport plug. I have
gameport to usb adapters that work fine with everything

I am not sure this is a windows error or a hardware
error, but I am LOST!  Trying to save a backup copy of a
word document to my Sony Drive using a CD-RW disk. The
file is normally saved and written to using a 31/2.

Basically I downloaded and install a load, bout 20,
security/service packs
for my Pc and then rebooted, it goes past the bios, past
the initial loading

Since I set up a dual-boot system, my CD-RW drive no longer
recognizes blank CDs for writing, but only in Windows XP.
It works fine in Linux.  I know this is hardware, and
sounds like a software problem, but I thought someone here

I just noticed today that both my CDrom/dvd and my CDrw
drives aren't recognized by my pc. I recently upgraded
from win98 to XP. I did use these drives since but they
don't appear in My Computer and the CDrom/DVd wonMt even

I tried to install a PNY 256 PC100 memory card and the computer wont boot
from it. From  what I am hearing from Sony is to do a system restore. I
really don't want to do this. I am sure there has to be a fix out there for
