hi there, i have bought a usb 2.0 sony micro vault. I
have plugged it into my notebook with usb 1.0 ports, the
hardware wont work. i have a driver disc and that has
been no help at all. i was told that the hardware would

I currently have a 200 watt power supply for a P2.

I inserted the 650+ in a Thinkpad T22 before running
setup.  New hardware wizard started up but couldn't find
the drivers. I cancelled the wizard and deleted the
Yellowed out 650+ in device manager.  Then ran setup,

I don't know how it happened but I have 2 usb ports on my
laptop that are no longer recognizing any devices you
plug into them.  They show up as 'unrecognized' in device
mgr.  When you perform a scan for hardware you get a

Is there anyway that I can get XP Pro to 'bypass' the welcome screen when I
turn on, and go straight to my desktop?  This used to work fine, then for
some strange reason, the welcome screen started coming up, and now I can't
seem to bypass it.

then go to the test screen to find out if all of the
buttons are working properly, i find that two of them are

know if you find XP's built in software to be better than HP's... In
upgrading my PC, I see XP recognized the R80, has the printer anc scanner
each set up as well.. I'd like to keep XP's software if it's good.. ...

I have a custom built PC that has been running Win2k Pro for the past
2 years with no problems. Decided to upgrade to XP, but am having
issues.  First, the config:

firewire drives?
as of now I need to unplug and plug drive in
XP will no see the drive if it's on and the computer boots.

everytime i open notepad or try to open a .log file
or .txt file i get this error:
CANNOT LOCATE NOTEPAD.EXE
I don't know what to do please help. thanks
