The sound on my pc was fine ( I have on board audio) and
one day when I booted it up, there was no sound at all. I
tried to play an audio file in windows media player and
it gave me and error message saying: Windows Media Player

I quit my broadband ISP and went to a dail up modem. The
computer reconizes the modem but when I go to the "New
connection wizard", And I get to the screen where I want
to check "Connect using a dail up modem" it is grayed out

I installed recently a new driver for a 48U ARTEC scanner. the installation was complete yet I cannot operate the scanner. I keep receiving the message that there is a problem with INSTAN~1.exe, because the file TBMHOOK.dll is missing. How can I solve this problem

I recently purchased a seagate hard drive and installed
it with no problems and before the installation cd
finished, it pointed out that xp would only use 137 gb
instead of the full 160 til xp and sp1 were installed.

I have recently had a large number of problems with 2 harddrives. Neither of
them lets me use the Windows XP (Home or Pro Edition)CD to get onto my

Whenever I add an addtional USB device - digital camera or card reader it
alawys shows up in Explorer as 2 drives.  ie in my case drives J: and K: and
another one is L: and M:.
