Has anyone ever tried installing XP Pro on a Dell Poweredge 2650 box??
I know it's not listed as compatable, but I thought I'd give it a
whirl anyway. Well it says it can't find a hard drive on the machine.
Just curious if that's the compatability issue or if I'm looking at

When I open the pc, it takes a long time to get in Win XP..... it takes about 20-30 seconds, then it pops up "Window loading" screen.  Can anyone tell me why?

Each time a partition is created on a hard disk, it is assigned a very
long number that is probably random. How do I gain access to that number
 so that I can safely and uniquely identify a partition. Any way to
control the assignment of this number or to edit it?
