My new laptop with XP doesn't have a parallel port and my
Canon bjc 4200sp printer doesn't have a USB port so I
bought a USB-centronics cable.  So now the printer won't
print even though I get a new printer installed message

My computer recognizes my usb mp3/flash drive, but does
not read the drive. The files on it do not show up in
windows explorer and I am not able to paste new files to

I have a legacy device and software that worked fine with
Windows 98, but now will not work with XP.  The software
can only recognize the download device on LPT 1, 2 or 3.  
I have connected it to LPT1 and assured the BIOS is set
