I've swapped my CDRW for a DVD/CDRW Combo (Samsung SN-324B firmware
U003). I managed to have the drive being recognized by switching off
DMA support from the IDE controller properties. Then I switch back

A backup HDD (with no operating system) FAT32 installed as
a slave is detected in the bios during start up but does
not show in explorer.  Drives D & E are the DVD and CD. My
C drive is NTFS.

If I have two drives both connected to the primary IDE controller and have
one that is an ATA/133 and it is as Master and the other is an ATA/100 and
it is as Slave, will they both run at their own speed?
In other words will the 133 be at 133 and the 100 at 100?

I got a new motherboard today with a new p4 in it. I had
xp pro installed from before.   it boots up perfectly and
gets to the login screen. my usb wireless kebyoard doesnt

My CD-ROMS are not recognizing that there is a CD in them.
I have been advised to "Take Out" the drivers and reboot,
and Windows XP will automatically reinstall them. However
I do not know how to take them out. Any advise.

Trying to install new software and the CD drive is not
recognized. Went through all of the troubleshooting
options, still not working.
Device Manager doesn't see it either.
