A backup HDD (with no operating system) FAT32 installed as a slave is detected in the bios during start up but does not show in explorer. Drives D & E are the DVD and CD. My C drive is NTFS.

If I have two drives both connected to the primary IDE controller and have one that is an ATA/133 and it is as Master and the other is an ATA/100 and it is as Slave, will they both run at their own speed? In other words will the 133 be at 133 and the 100 at 100?

My CD-ROMS are not recognizing that there is a CD in them. I have been advised to "Take Out" the drivers and reboot, and Windows XP will automatically reinstall them. However I do not know how to take them out. Any advise.
