My system isn't recognizing my joystick. When I try to
add it in I get a message that says " Ypur gameport or
gameport drivers are not properly configured. Please
consult the device manager."  Any ideas what I am

I have tried to install the upgrade from Windows ME to XP.
It is telling me that my Smartlink 56k modem is not
compatible. Is that right? What should I do. Can anyone

Two days ago I turned on my laptop and out of the blue my
mouse refused to work in any way. I tried plugging it
into the alternative USB with no luck and the

or three reboots and then it just sits there on the

When I boot with my M$ Wheel Mouse Optical plugged into a usb port. Windows
gets to the splash screen checks the floppy drive and dvdrom. Then it
pauses for about a 40 seconds. When it finnishes booting the mouse is
disabled. I find if I unplug it and re-plug the mouse it works. ...

I've swapped my CDRW for a DVD/CDRW Combo (Samsung SN-324B firmware
U002). I managed to have the drive being recognized by switching off
DMA support from the IDE controller properties. Then I switch back
from PIO to DMA and all works fine. When I start the system the next

I have done a clean install of Win XP home on my Dell
(originally came with Win Me) and when I go to use the

I have also had this problem and found a solution. There is one
souncard that solves the problem. Creative Vibra 128.

Not being able to access NTFS Files from Dos.
1) I tried Active NTFS Reader For Dos v1.0, it will access the partions on
my Raid setup but it seems that it will only copy to Fat files, which will
only enable me to  copy to A:\ Drive (Floppy). I would like to maybe copy

I have a Sharp digital viewcam and the software is only
compatible with Windows 95 and 98.  When I try to install
it to Windows XP I get an error message that the software
isn't compatible.  Can anyone help me?
