When doing a clean install of XP home, xp cannot find my harddrive. It is a SATA harddrive, with which I ran 98 fine, without any special utilities.

Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41) I got this message after installing a Silicom doubleserial PCMCIA. What can I do ?

I have tried Nero 6 and Roxio 5 but on both programs the cd-rom is not recognized. When I insert a disc the cd-rom acts normal by reading and so forth, but the recording software will not pick up on it. Anyone got any ideas.
