I recently had a major crash and had to do a recovery.
The good thing is it got rid of all the rubbish, and I
was starting afresh and being more careful about what I
downloaded.

I had drive letters:
A: (FLOPPY), C: & D: (2 HDD's), E: (CD), F: (ZIP).
I consolidated C: & D: to one HDD with 2 large
partitions.

I have tried to install MS Fax service via
the 'add/remove XP components' but  I am asked to insert
the Windows XP CD which I do not have as XP came pre-
installed. Can anyone suggest how else I can install the

do if you want to format your hardrive. Is there a way to
burn them to cd and re-install them later. Or do you have

Recently, my power supply and motherboard both died.  So,
I replaced the old 300W with a 350W and got a new
motherboard, processor, and RAM as well.

i was burning MP3's and things were fine...then when i put in a blank to
burn another set i got a little window mesage "F is not accessible ...
incorrect function"  That happens when i try to open a writable window for a
blank CD...but the drive will let me open a CD that already ...

hi my cd rom is not reading the cds the draw opens &
closes but if you place a disc in the drive nothing
happens and if you go to d drive and click it comes up

I am running XP Home & my PC has 2 USB ports & I want to
add 2 additional ports.  Does it make any difference if I
add V. 1.1 or V. 2.0 USB ports?  Is preferable to us a
USB hub or a plug in card?

I have added a flat screen monitor to my Latitude laptop via a docking station. It works perfect until  I try to use my projector with it.  I get an image through the projector but it disables either my flat screen and shows only part of my desktop. Any ideas?

I have an IEEE card in my computer and XP (pro) recognizes
it and there seems to be no problem. When I plug in my
camera, nothing happens. Windows does not "find" the
