I had a problem with my CDRW. I was standing in PIO mode. I tried to solve
that by uninstaling the primary IDE-channel.  After i have rebooted the
system XP fail to install the driver code 28. It says " cant koppy to the
specified folder" i think it tries to copy atapi.sys to

my cdrw will not copy a whole cd.after 3 tracks an error

I have a strange problem with my IDE DVD/CD - RW. I can run my drive to
install of a CD/ or DVD, but if it takes two CD's, the eject button does
not work, even if I right click on it and hit "eject disk". I can hear
it whirring, too.

I have installed a second harddisk that is partitioned on my computer.  I do
not need the data on the disk, and I want to remove the partitions to get
one large disk.. I assume I need to reformat the disk to do that.  I went to

i just installed a new motherboard and processor, onboard
graphics and sound, put cpu bus to 166mhz, all worked
fine, increased bus via setup to 200mhz, now when i try
to start computer, the moniter blinks as though it is not

I do not know that this should be posted here or what,but here is my problem
as you can see on attached picture, my disk cleanup is getting stock and

In "My Computer" 2 new devices appear--3½-inch floppy
drive and CD drive. Both appear without a drive letter,
and neither is a link that can be clicked on. Neither of
these devices is in the device manager.

Have a Dell Dimension XPS R400 tower with a serial
Microsoft mouse that had been working just fine with
Windows 98se, but at the end of the upgrade to XP Pro, the
