I am running Windows XP and it doesn't recognise that I have a floppy drive. I recently tried out a mate's Harddrive in my computer which, in hindsight, may have had a virus. Could this be the cause? I have put my HDD back but how do I sort out recognition of my floppy drive?

I have several Compaq's that get a message to reformat a floppy disk after they are inserted. The disk has been formated and has data, but it still asks to reformat. Running XP. Is this a driver problem, or??

I just added a 160 Gig hard drive to my XP system as drive D: It seems to be working fine, partitioned, formatted, etc. and I have copied files to it. I would like to make it my primary boot drive. How do I copy XP

I have a 160g hard drive, but my computer is reading it at 120g and I have window xp on my computer, I did not see anything about the bios for xp just 95 and 98

When trying to uninstall an "unknown device" listed as a component under imaging together with the scanner ( which works fine) , I get a message ," failed to uninstall device. The device may be needed to boot your system ".

I've recently installed the XP sp1 from disk, since then my printer stopped working, I uninstalled it and on re- instaling, it has shown as a removable icon in the tray by the clock and has the safely remove hardware symbol
