I want to install a 185GB second hard disk (D drive) to my 1.6GHz AMD athlon machine. It recognises it within the BIOS but not in Win 98? Do i need to partition?

When i try printing a pdf file it takes forever(literally). I check the printer spool and see that the document size shown as 120MB. now i know that the pdf file is about 20Kb. I have a HP1300 printer. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happenning? I would appreciate any help ...

I am currently running Windows XP SP1. There is an old DOS-based program that I still use for certain accounting activities. The problem is that my printer on this machine (local) is now connected to an ETHERNET router. The DOS-based program is still trying to print to LPT1.
