both drives disappeared, looked in device manager, have
yellow exclamation mark, have been through
troubleshooting, checked updates, uninstalled both cd and
dvd drives and restarted yellow exclamation mark still

each time I boot up a message appears in the
taskbar "application error".
Also a small box appears on the desktop "contact your
hardware vendor error 1024"

For some reason, my cdrom isn't recognizing audio cd's.  I found a fix
somewhere when this happened once before, but can't locate it now.  Does
anyone know how to correct this?

I have just finished the reinstallment of a new Windows XP
installation, and used something called "PC Data Recovery"
to try and get some files back from the installation past,
although knowing that this program doesn't support bad

   I have a 40 GB Seagate came installed with my HP PC. I bought a 120 GB
Western Digital harddrive and now I get a message 33.8? GB limitation. Is
there a reason why the 40 GB worked and now the Western Digital won't?

motorolla modem. The software is there in my programs

I just purchased a new copy of Window XP Professional and
installed it on my Sony Notebook computer.  When I plug
in some of my USB devices (printer, floppy drive, etc) I
am getting a message that states:  "HI-SPEED USB Device
