I need to format an 80 gig firewire drive under XP, but this doesn't seem possible with XP. According to the documentation, there is a limit of 32 gigs for formatting under XP (even though it will recognize larger volumes).

MY cd burner and dvd writer are both connected to an IDE plug, and they are being acknowledged by xp as SCSI devices. Neither one of them will burn with any program that I try to use. Anyone have any ideas?

Last night I was coping some files to my D: partition I left the room when I got back windows had just booted back up and said it was recovering from a serious error! Now the D: partition is bad and asks me to format it! WTF!

I have an older monitor with side speakers, and a built in microphone. Play sound, Ok. Microphone is not muted. I followed the directions which stated to check microphone instead of the sound drivers, nothing there.

i checked all the leads and they all connect to the correct place. i even took the all out and put them back in again myself. there are three leads for each drive. a skinny wide one that connects to both, a four holed one

i have the latest upgrade for windows media player 9 series, but as with all of the past versions, it still won't play video. It says codec error then plays the file as an audio file... any ideas?

Decided to treat myself to a top range system. But only one small and annoying snag :( It will run a 3D screensaver for about 1-4 minutes before freezing solid! It does not freeze in normal operation.
