my mouse wheel no longer scrolls when i turn it, instead
it acts like the back button and goes to the previous
page. i am not running any programs for the mouse. i guess
the issue is how do you remap mouse buttons?

Trying to setup communication between a SonyEricsson T610 mobile phone and
my Toshiba Satellite 1410 with WinXP SP1. The IR scanner cannot see the
phone and I learnt from a Google search that the problem is probably that
the PC is assigning the wrong COM-port.

software. Can your enable specific program buttons on it?
So when u open for example word, the right button pastes -
but it other times it presses enter? U could do it on

I attached an external hdd to my Dell PC via a USB
enclosure. WinXP recognizes and installs the drive, then

I'm having problems with my WIN XP recognizing my 160GB
HDD.  It only sees 137GB.  Any suggestions?  I've read

Hi.  Just got my new Gateway XP machine.  Everything is running fine,
however this modem seems a tad sensitive.  I have caller id and a
catch-a-call device.  If I'm online, if I hear the catch-a-call ring only
once, I get disconnected.

I have installed a new CD burner and I can't my computer
to recognize it.   It shows power and the program acts
like it is writing to the CD, but I have no drive to
read.  Please help

sometimes after a while my computer shuts itself down and

Windows XP Pro occasionally goes into auto shutdown mode
giving the obligitory 30 seconds to close all files. Have
checked all Power settings in Control Panel and these do
not seem to be the cause. Any suggestions please. Logged

Everytime I boot up my Compaq presario I get a "Disc read
error" --
"press cntrl-alt-del to restart."
It doesn't restart, nor does it work. How I can fix it?

I have windows xp and a dvd burner and have been burning
fine until I bought some new discs. I bought Datawrite
4xDVD-R and tried to burn on them using Nero but cannot.
It comes up with an 'Unknown CD-R' error message. Yet,

after an upgrade to xp pro my computer now does not
recognise my yamaha cd-rw player as able to burn but as a
plain cdrom, also there is no tab to enable it to burn.
how could this happen and is there a fix?
