I have moved the HD that would not be seen as udma and now it is seen
correctly, problem is the system is still seeing it as F: drive not as D: as
it should.
I did remove the D: drive so now I have A C E F

My computer had to have Windows XP reinstalled on my
computer recently, and the hard drive was wiped.
However, I need to get the information back. I've been
told that even if hard drives are re-formatted/ wiped etc

Please help me. Everytime I put in a cd to either play or
rip, my cd drive does not read the cd. The light on it
starts flashing fast and then nothing happens. What can I

I have installed a WD800BB00CAA1 80GB hard drive as primary slave. I have a
WD400BB00DEA0 40 GB as primary master. Both drives are properly configured
and the BIOS recognizes them. The primary master is partitioned into a 30 GB
primary partition (C:) and a 10 GB secondary partition ...

I am moving a HD complete with OS ( XP Pro) from one system to another. The
mobo and chipset is different. I recall a MS Tech telling me about a switch
to the setup.exe program that would force the setup to ignore the current
registry and rebuild it from scratch.

I have a Samsung SV4002H 40 gig HD
XP will only see it as a PIO device no matter what jumper settings I use,
any one have a fix for this?
The drive is very slow..  :(

Is it try Windows NT does not support USB, if this is so

drives. They are set as striped in the Silicon Image 3112
Bios. I install the Raid drivers off of a floppy during

When I boot my computer I get the error message  " missing
