I have a combo CD-RW / DVD-ROM drive installed on my PC. This drive is classified as CD-ROM 1 by Windows XP. Every time the PC reboots it forgets the drive letter allocated to it. When I go to the Disk Management application I can assign a drive letter to and it works OK.

Ok, particulars. WinXP SP1, P750, 512RAM BCM Motherboard, USR Performance Pro Modem 56K. Brand new modem. Install, Modem Diagnostics fine. Installed w/o problem. Dial service provider.

Why doesn't the scroll button work with Word and Excel VBA screens using Microsoft's mouse drivers. The scroll button works fine in Explorer, Word, Excel etc.

I like to use the "write these files to cd" for copying files to my cdr. However writting only one (1) file and then ejecting the cd for later use results in the cdr being finalized. Then I cannot write anything else to the cd.
