it seems as though the new sp2 update has brought about
trouble for all of our drives...if you go to device
manager...then select your drive that isnt working it
appears to say sorry we could not enable the device.

I recently had a problem with the capacitors on my MoBo.  They were leaking
but I got them replaced by the manufacturer.  I also reformatted my hard

update! In the progress of installing, I selected continue anyway for the

I have an Intel processor and MB that support Hyper Threading and it is
currently enable.

Added information:   I have a PS/2 mouse. Tried updating
driver that came with mouse but windows says that
microsoft driver is the best driver. My mouse is a Memorex

Every time I try to connect my DSL modem via the ethernet port the
computer automatically restarts when it reaches the point where users
are asked to log on to their Win XP account. The USB port works fine
but I suspect that the ethernet port is a lot faster.

During game play keys stop responding. These are typicaly
keys that are held down for extended periods of time.

After using pc i try to switch off using tne turn off  
computer. It will not switch off using the turn off
button, but will switch off using the hibernate button, i
am using xp proffesinal, any help would be gratefull.

I have a clean install of XP Home with SP2 installed.
With SP1 everything was fine but, now with all APM set
correctly in the BIOS and XP's power management settings
my monitor no longer goes into standby.
