Anyone know how to fix this error message I get when
trying to access either of my CD drives (D or E)?

I heard the beep, and see the "safely remove hardware"
thingy on my toolbar,...but when i go to explorer to see
it, it isn't there.  this goes for my jumpdrive, digital
ccamera and scanner...none of them show up.

After installing firewire drivers for Epson scanner my firewire CF card
reader doesn't show as a removable drive in windows explorer anymore.
After connecting card reader I can see in the device manager "SBP2 Compliant
IEEE 1394 devices" but not a removable drive. Driver details ...

Does anyone know if  a computer with WinXP Pro can utilize large HDD (160GB)
with out the HDD being partitioned, if the Bios supports HDD larger than
137GB?  I have been receiving conflicting information about this and want to
install a 160GB drive but I don't want to partition it.

I recently puchased four machine from a local system builder. They contain
modern CDRW drives, but they do all sorts of odd things, such as:

We've got 3 pcs at home using XP Home, and one using XP Pro.  All are set up
for sharing, which is fine.. I'd like to add one layer of protection- that
when someone accesses another PC, the password window will pop up.. one pc

Can I stop the cd drive from "auto play" every time I
load a cd?

I am pretty sure my battc.sys and cmbatt.sys files are
screwed up. I found them on my Configuration Builder
(restore) CD, but I need a password to unzip them.
