    My 8GB Samsung Hard Disk is 5 years old. I am having Windows 2000Pro.
Yesterday, when I tred to boot my PC, i heard the tick-tick.. sound
followed by the message of harddisk failure. I restarted and tried to

I've just installed a scanner for my Windows XP computer, consisting of the
scanner device itself and a SCSI host adapter device attached the scanner.
Windows has detected the new SCSI adapter but it could not locate a driver
for it.

I installed SP2 about a week ago it suddenly would only startup after about
35 seconds of a black screen after the splash screen. The most recent log

i have a cannon bjc-5000 printer with the latest driver updated.  during
installation, xp tells me the printer "has not passed windows logo testing to
verify its compatibility with windows xp."
no matter what i do, this printer will install on xp.  any suggestions?

I just install a 300GB Maxtor 10 External HDD.
First tried to connect it thru Firewall, but did'nt luck. Then tried via
USB, this time HDD has been found but detected as Maxtor 6 HDD.
In "Computer Management/Disk Management" I could only initialize and format

The other night, there was a power failure and of course my friends
father was on their computer. They have a safety powerboard, yet now
when they try and turn their computer on it finishes the Memory Test
and then completely stops and doesn't move any further. Would this be

My cd-rom/dvd drive is gone. In looking in "Computer Management" I found the
error message:

I cannot read or write from my floppy (A:) or the CDRW
(D:) drive. They both appear in Explorer / Disk Manager as
working fine and are both enabled.  Booting in "safe mode"
they both work well. I have performed virus scans after

I am running a AMD Athlon XP 2600  1.9 GHz
I put in a new hard drive, and now the new drive is shown as "F" drive.
Is there any way to get it back to "C"?
It is not a huge deal, but I have found a program that will not install

I have added a data cable to connect to my Nokia 3120 phone.  The cable
(DKU-5) is registered in Device Manager under Multi-Port Serial Adapters, as
it should be, but there is no Port assigned to it under Ports (COM & LPT).  
The installation instructions say it should be assigned ...

Before I have used windows xp service pack 2 (upgrade from service pack 1), i
have no problem in using my usb port, they were detected as usb 2.0. When
things get slow, i reinstall my windows fresh, and then install service pack
2. And now i can't upgrade my usb port to usb 2.0, ...
