I tried to use a Hard Drive pack with USB 2.0 but my XP does not have SP2/SP1. I dont want upgrade to SP2 due to problems. Is there any USB 2.0 driver that will install on Original XP? thanks.

I have installed a Maxtor 200gig disk as a secondary drive. The BIOS recognises the disk and size and is shown in the disk manager (diskmgmt.msc) as drive 1 - but it says "not initialised." However, it does not show as Drive D (or anything else) on the "my computer"

I am thinking of buying a new ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard for my Pentium 4 chip with HT as I fried the old board. But does it make any sense to go out now and buy something without PCI express? Should I wait a couple of months?
