I just removed an old SCSI CD burner, and installed a new
IDE DVD burner.  Rebooted, and the drive was identified,
and seemed to be working ok.  Then I noticed that I have
extra drives showing up in windows.

I am experiencing windows XP freezing when inserting any
CD rom, though it is hit and miss.
The Application logs show the following numerous errors :-
The device, \Device\Harddisk2\D, is not ready for access
