Running windows xp home on pIII with 392 mb RAM, since installing SP2 pc recognises cd and dvd drives but WMP10 cant recognise them, any disc inserted just comes up with the title message, have tried to update the IMAPI.EXE changed the IDE Lead and all to no avail, help please.

I can't do repair with winxp cd,it's not recognize the hd. I download from the manufactor the sata drivers to floppy and it's not work. The system tell that "there is no hd to install" or thomthing like that... I have maxtor SATA 80 GB and MSI K7N2 Delta-L (MS-6570G) mainboard.

After I upgraded to Windows XP from Windows 98, my computer wouldn't turn itself off anymore. I shuts down but then I have to hold the button 4 seconds to turn off the computer. How can I solve this problem?
