Greetings all, I have a USB to serial converter cable. When installed it assigned this to COM4. Is there any way I can re-assign this to COM1 or COM2? (I have no serial port on this notebook, and my software reconises only COM1 and COM2)

I have just upgraded to XP. During the upgrade I had issues installing XP after troubleshooting I came to the conclusion that it was because of the HLDS GCE-8160B 16X CDRW. I removed the drive and ren the XP update over the network. The update was sucessful.
