Purchased a 160 gig drive as my 20 is getting quite full.Pc does not see this new drive as master or slave.Set it up as slave to begin with intention of using Ghost to tranfer everything.

i'm running a fully updated XP on a amd1600 with a gig of ram. mobo i a k7 from msi. 3 hdd and a dvd-burning drive. i'm using the daemon tools "virtual daemon manager" for mounting dis images. right now with 2 virtual drives.

Aloha, I have an older Gateway G-6, 333 computer with XP Home, 2 Hard drives and 512 mem. I've had XP Home running on this computer with both of these Hard Drives for a long time, needed to do a Fresh Install due to other problems.

Have tried installing Intel Accelerator, correct version for my board. It installs then on reboot I'm stuck on the Blue Caterpillar screen and after 15 minutes chickened out , rebooted F8 and used last known configuration that worked. Then I removed Intel Accelerator.

I am running XPHome SP2 fully updated. I have 2 HDs, both set to Auto in the BIOS for DMA detection. HD C is correctly detected but D comes up as PIO in System Devices. Can anyone tell me how I can set it for the DMA settings to be correctly

I received a windows error (Code 19) after installing the new drive. The error said it was a registry error and it cannot operate the drive. Any idea how to fix the registry error?
