I have developed a strange USB problem. Using WinXP Home / SP2. Several times per day, the system 'loses' the mouse and keyboard. The USB symbol pops up on the taskbar and I get an audible telling me 'something' has been disconnected. But they are still connected firmly in the plug.

I got the Asus A8V Deluex and putting it together and need to know If I use the Raid for Faster Drives, (SATA 150), ans set it as JBOD, is it the same as like a eide would be, in other words, not sharing wruting and readin between two drives ?

I'm having problems installing a sata hard drive using a Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 mobo . When I try to install XP after installing Sata drivers first I still get the message no hard drives installed.

This is on two clean SP2 Home and Pro installs - same problem. Power management properties aren't even available on the USB mouse and keyboard, despite ACPI being enabled, and power management properties being available on USB root hub and other places.
