I've stupidly installed Directx 9.0c without reading the requirement. I've
XP Pro with SP2 installed.
Now, the directx is not functioning anymore. Tried to re-installed but no

In XP, I think I might have a corrupted floppy drive driver. Can I
uninstall the driver for my A drive in device manager, reboot the
computer, and will XP rebuild/reinstall the A driver?

I have WinXP pro on P4 @ 2.4ghz / Nvida GeForce MX 400 64mb/ ESS 56k modem /

I have been getting blue screen "STOP" errors for a long time. I have tried
everything I can think of, scans, clean re-installed XP etc. I guess I have

While trying to troubleshoot my printer (connected through USB port), I went
into "device manager" and uninstalled my USB drivers, then rebooted to have
windows automatically reinstall the USB drivers.  
I think the problem was that I hadn't disconnected the printer from the USB

I have an HP DAT40 Tape drive and using Windows native backup utility.
Everything was working fine, then one day it asks for media with a - 1
on the end of it, I had labeled each tape as the weekday, so for

I have a Lite-on 832S.  Had for a few months and it was working fine then
last week I discovered it doesn't work anymore.  I've tried everying except  
uninstall sp2 which I may do soon.  A lot of rumors that sp2 slowly distroys  
Lite-on DVD drives.  Don't know if this is true or ...
