I have a computer that arrived with XP Pro installed.  It has always had
this problem but it is really starting to get to me.  The beep is not
from the sound card, but a system beep from a beep speaker.  Muting the
sound using the applet in the system tray does not affect it.  It ...

At this point it has came up with a screen saying.

nothing in the drive.  By chance I had a DVD +R handy, inserted that & it
seems to work.

Can't use External USB HDD with Ghost08 Dec 2004 23:48 GMT4
I bought myself a very cheap aluminium enclosure on Ebay and put a nice

Ghost jumps to PC-DOS to create an image it can't find the USB drivers.
A better quality "Metal Gear Box" enclosure (also from Ebay but ...
