I have two drives on my kid's computer. The drive with XP Professional is
almost full (250 Meg left) .The only thing on the drive is the OS! Is there
a way to move the os files over to the big drive and just use the Root drive
to "Boot up"?

I've been having this problem for several weeks and can't seem to fix

I have a DFI Ultra Infinity motherboard, Athlon XP 2500, Windows XP.

Hi All.
Right now I have a Western Digital Caviar SE 120GB w/ 8MB cache. It holds XP
Pro, Games and data files. I had a Maxtor 80GB HD w/ 2MB Cache. But I just
replaced it with a Seagate 200GB HD w/ 8MB Cache. All drives were 7,200RPM.

I have just bought a Serial ATA 160gb Maxtor drive, and when checking its
performance it seems that its cache(?) was half as good as expected. I have
checked in system properties and its set up to DMA etc.
What would cause this? and is there anything I can change to improve

I have been using onboard sound (AC97) for a few months without a problem.  
Yesterday, I picked up a sound card and installed it, wanting to have both
the onboard and the sound card work at the same time.  I'm currently doing
this type of thing on another PC I have.
