We have one windows machine and one mac.  One monitor.  What kind of switch
could I use to set this up so that the user can choose between machines?  Is

I am trying to find out if Windows XP would support an external
USB/Firewire drive enclosure -- not just as external storage, but also
would allow me to do RAID-1 (or RAID-0+1 or RAID-5)...
Any success stories? How would one go about configuring it?

Have recently installed a new hard drive and used Norton Ghost to transfer
the OS over to this new HD. NewHD is WD 36gig Raptor(SATA), and old HD is a

I have a DVD writer with the CD writer built in, not a single problem when
burning DVD's, but every time I try to use any software Nero, Roxio etc, the
cd just will not burn, doesnt even start.  It gets to the point where all
files are cached then nada, nothing....

I have a 200 Gb second HDD for storage only. I was down to 50 Gb of free
space so I deleted 50 Gb of files. The files have gone but no space has been
freed up. I installed Norton System Works and ran disc optomise - no change.

Can anyone help me?  I noticed when I check properties under drive C: it
says that half (55GB) is used.  When I select all files under C: and check
properties, it says that only 12GB is used.  Does anyone know how i can fix

I have the Microsoft optical cordless mouse.   When the batteries run low it
just stops & you get no warning that this is going to happen.  Even though
the cursor won't move the red light on bottom continues to flash. Is this
normal?
