I am having trouble with windows xp regonizing the 1200c scanner? Every thing
is hookup properly. Any suggestions.

My system:  Dell XPS running Win XP SP2
Just purchased a new IBM Hitachi Deskstar 7K250.
Installed it properly in terms of physical properties - cabled up with
proper cables, etc..

Help,
First, I'm running WinXP pro, 1 gb memory, Asus K8V deluxe motherboard AMD
64, 2 internal hard drives( 200 & 100Gig) and 1 external 250Gig drive. When I
click on My Computer the drives show dvd-rw and dvd/cd-rw but when I insert

Windows goes through the usual contortions to recognize the pnp device...

ok i was trying to wipe/restore a Hdd after a failed xp install
all went well and after another fail
i was playing with hirem's or ultimate boot cd
(maybe ghost but thing it was fdisk of some sort)

I have this cheap Brother MFC that has ethernet interface (model 3820cn).
It has software to manage its function called Paper Port.  It quit working
right when SP2 was installed.  They have it listed as a problem on their
website but no plan or expected solution.

I install a 200Gb hard drive....i formated iy as nstc...but i can add
partitions to it...its says the Harddrive is a Dynamic..disk
ant ideas ...just want to add a few partition to it

Hi, i recently brought a Maxtor 200 gig 7200rpm DiamondMax 9 SATA 6Y200MO,
and partioned it useing the maxtor software into 2x 100gig partions, to find
out that after copying files to one section of the partion they all got
corruppted and now the hdd displays this message,

When I start it up, try to go to the 'welcome' screen... then, to go to the
account screen... I always have to open my cd-rom drive.  Otherwise the
computer just  freezes.  How can I reformat the drive so that this problem
isn't occuring?  I can't load anything in that drive ...

Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I've got an optical mouse, and
occassionally it will move itself to one of either the four corners or half
way between two corners. I'm just wondering if anyone could advise me of a
way to rectify this?

My win XP machine has suddenly started disabling my keyboard on Windows
bootup. This applies to both USB and PS2 keyboards. The keyboard functions
properly until the windows screen appears with the Blue oscillating bar under
the windows logo.
