I am installing a new motherboard and CPU and I do not want to do a "clean
install".
Can someone give me the steps I need to follow?
I have Windows XP Pro

Does anyone know where I can find the es-620.sys driver for
the Edisonsoft uSB infrared adapter? A google search turns
up not much more than messages from people looking for this
driver and Edisonsoft's website seems to have gone belly-up.

I think the software needs to be enhancement for this product to really go
more mainstream.  I know I have clients that it would be a much easier sell
if these enhancements were made.  Now something like Roboform is more of what
they are looking for.

I just installed a new seagate Serial ATA hard drive. It is connected
directly to the motherboard. When I rebooted the computer the drive didn't
display under My Computer. It is visble in system management, and Win XP Prof
03 indicates it is functioning normally.

Is there a memory checking program inside XP Pro that will really check the
memory to see "if" it is ALL working?  Not just a listing of how many chips
are there, but that shows ALL memory is good?  Thanks gang..., Mike..!!

My DVD-RW drive will not read either DVD-R or DVD-RW when I insert them. A
message comes up that says "Please insert disk into Drive D:." Of course, I
have already inserted a disk.
That same drive will read CDs and play computer games. It just won't read

I am buying a new motherboard which has SATA capabilities.   I know I can
have 2 SATA drives and 2 IDE drivers.  My question is can I set BIOS where
SATA is the first boot device, then the IDE drives and so on.  TIA

Just wanted to make sure that the reader is suppose to always be lighted when
not doing anything.  Mine is always on (actually the red led's pulsate
quickly).  On occasion I see it blink.  Then when placing a finger on the
reader it becomes brighter for an instant, then goes off ...

I have Compaq Presario 2700 laptop, and connected to it external IR port
model "Hoya IrWave 520 UK" via USB 1.1 port. After trying to remove  this

I recently upgraded my home systems from NT4 SP6a to XP Pro SP2 - so I'm
new here :-)
My NT system had two SCSI disks - drives C: (NT) and D: (software) on
ID0 and drive E: (data) on ID1. To install XP, I added a disk at ID2,

I just inserted a cd with my pics  on the drawer of the computer, now the
the drawer does not open the lite is on.I went to My Coputer, and I see the
C\driver has a stop red sign, meaning the it  is not  in the sistem.
Please, I need help, to open this drawer, and remove the cd.
