I would like to be able to download drivers (from hp for example). Place these files into a folder of there own, and get windows XP to know that it needs to look at this folder when you install the driver. Any idea how to do this?

Some of the installation CDs arriving with the hardware are without any instructions on how to get them going, if they do not start the installation of their own accord. In the old days they all had a instruction what file to type in to install it.

assuming the pc is working and has internet access - try www.pcpitstop.com for free comprehensive diagnostics which tests quite a bit - read all the reports, not just the summary, and use the links for additional explanations and solutions.

Anyone seen a good whitepaper on fans? Should they both point OUT or one IN and the other OUT? What is "processor Zone 2" in an Intel motherboard?
