My floppy (3.5 inch, 1.44 MB, drive A) always has the green busy light on at
the completion of a bootup. If  I insert a disk, then remove it, the light
goes off and stays off unless I reinsert and use another floppy disk. In

Win XP Pro - new computer build and when I fit in a PCI internal modem the
computer will not boot! Everything else is working and will boot normally.
What has gone "wrong"? I would appreciate any ideas on how to fix this
problem.

Everytime I try to burn a CD it tells me to Please insert Disc when I already
have one in there. So I go to My Computer, D Drive and explore assuming that
it will just tell me that it's a blank cd but it again says Please insert
disc. Any Clues??

I have WINXP Home and a 30GB FAT32 drive. I installed an 80GB drive,
formatted FAT32. I want the 80 GB to be the master boot drive, but in NTFS

I have a client who has a DVD recorder and CD-RW combo drive.  Windows XP
sees the drive and the registry reports it correctly as being a CD-RW.  
However, the Record tab does not appear and drag-and-drop doesn't work for

hello,
I have a problem with PC which freeze (i have to reboot manually)
during a file transfer by the network.  that occurs in a random way on
PC under Windows XP SP1.  these PC are celeron 800 MHz (and 1200MHz)

What happens when the power supply unit is overloaded?  What are the symptoms?
On boot up my computer sometime just shuts down and I can't restart it until
I remove the plug and the LED light goes out (about 5 seconds) and re-insert

I have been using my floppy drive for backing up two small apps. Recently I
have noticed a peculiar behaviour. Once I write the data of one app  using
either DOS copy or drag & drop, the file list on the floppy in the Windows
Explorer (or in DOS ) will always display the same files ...

To Jerry-- The mother board is fairly new, it is of a cheap make though
its a AsRock P4S55FX  Every thing else seems to be reading fine, I dont
think its the battery

I have two harddisk in my PC, one master and one slave. The slave one
becomes "dynamic offline" in the disk manager of my WinXP, but it still
shows that problem disk as "disk 1". I tried to reactive disk but to no

running XP? I have a Dell with Pentium III 450 mHz processor and 256 RAM.
Will This run XP somewhat efficiently? I'm a Mac user and have very little
