I can play cd's but it wont let me burn and I also don't hear the drive spinning like befor. I keep getting error unusable cd and I have tried several cd's I tried a test and it says device cannot be accessed possibly medium missing.

My ordeal started with a forced shutdown of XP (I have to do this on occasion). CHKDSK started up to check my drive N: (the only partition in a 180GB WD drive), finished quickly and found no errors. However now XP (Disk Management) thinks my N: drive is empty and has NO file

Everytime I try to burn a CD I get a SCSI error. I know I am up to date with all my drivers for it including ASPI. Is there anything I can do to fix this error?
