My external hard drive (EHD) is not being recognized by several
computers that run on Windows XP and XP Professional. The EHD is
Western Digital Series 1 USB 2.0 (Old USB 2.0) ? Model Number
WD1200B05-RNN. It is just over 2 years old and is out of warranty.

This is a fairly new Dell Dimension 8400 desktop, 1024 RAM, 3200 mhz P4
and XP pro. Its probably safe to rule out viruses or spyware as causes

Last October, I got a new Seagate hard drive for my computer for a

Then, starting around late December/early January, my computer woul

I have a Linksys BEFSR41 version 2 router. It worked fine before SP/2. After
SP/2 it disconnects often like in ten minutes or maybe in an hour. I removed
SP/2 for two days and haven't had one disconnect. I am going to install it

I have a computer that makes all the proper noises as it boots from a
floppy. It gets as far as saying that "Windows 98 is starting", makes
some more noises as it reads the disk and then it stops and sits there.
The owner of the computer has tried to install another RAM stick.

I have an Intel D865GBF board that was in dual channel (2x256MB) mode.
I recently added a 512MB that put it in single channel. Everything came out
fine.
However, I noticed in my BIOS info, it now says: "Processor Type: I"
