Hi group,
I have a question about cleaning a flat screen monitor I recently bought
to go with my Dell.
I tried using those pre-moistened, alcohol free wipes that you can buy,

Running latest xp patches.
Problem 1..  rebooting without warning..
I'll be working away and suddently the machine reboots.. not blue screen or
anything, just reboots..

i accidentally unchecked the "always ask" box in the i.e. file download
dialog, thinking it would save unnecessary clicking.  silly me.  would
someone please tell me how to reactivate it?  thanks.

i have a laptop and recently the dvd/cdrw drive has stopped reading disks no
matter what i do? i havent installed any flash drive as mentioned in other
discussions, the device manager says no problems! i`ve uninstalled the driver
and let xp reinstall it but still the same?? any ...

At what point does the 137MB HD size limit become an issue? I have an XP
machine with a 250 MB slave drive, and it works fine. An 80GB primary
boot drive is in the process of failing, and I am wondering whether to

I'm having no success trying to install Win XP on a brand new computer.
A system has been built to the following spec:
Motherboard: Gigabyte   GA-8I915P Duo Pro.
This has an on-board SATA RAID ICH6R chipset and an IDE RAID VT6410 chipset.

I tried accessing my secondary drive (D:) a maxtor 200 gig with windows
explorer today and got a message/window asking me if I wanted to format the
drive, I've got about 160 gigs of files on the drive. I ran Nortons disk
doctor and it wouldn't recognize the D: drive so I ran it ...

I have a computer that will only boot to the HP Invents logo screen ...won't
go to the bios, won't boot from cd or floppy, won't DO anything .... just
sits at the logo screen for ever and ever
I'm real tired of looking at it - any ideas?

for no apparent reason that I can see, windows suddenly doesn't recognize my
network card, 1394 network connection or anything to do with networking.
Device manager doesn't even have a "network adaptors" directory and put all
the network hardware in a "unknown" directory

Following a destructive system restore I've lost the original factory drivers
for the DVD writer.
The site http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/welcome.html is extremely
helpfull, I can even find the drivers page for my DVD writer......but
