I installed a new 80 gig HD with Win XP and want to use the old drive as
Backup.  Everything went well, the new HD as master and the old drive as
slave.  Problem the drive is recognized as ok in Device Manager and Disk
Management is also ok but when it installed it did not assign ...

I'm using a HP Pavilion zv5330us laptop ( WinXP Home ). It could
connect to internet using DUN without any problem until last weekend. I
keep getting "No dial tone". I'm sure the phone jack and the cable are
OK since my PC desktop has no problem to connect using the same wall

Hi there!  I have encoutered a new problem.  My PC is not detecting DV video
cameras when connected by firewire or USB.  I have tried four disserent DV
cameras, none of them register.  The ports are working as the PC does detect
mass storage devices and my digital camera.

Have a prob with DVD/CD-rom drive on my nephews pc every time he puts a CD
or a DVD in the rom drive the PC restarts. had this prob for some time and I

My Toshiba Satellite A10 DVD/CDRW combo drive (Panasonic matshita ujda750)
has been working well for just under a year now. However since installing xp
sp 2 , MediaPlayer 10, and updates to Nero 6 and Nero InCD I am unable to
play any DVDs.  Playing VCDs , Audio CDs and CD burning ...

When i try to burn a cd the drive is not reading blank disc.
Its fine on all other discs.

When inserted this shows up as a hard drive rather than a device with
removable storage.  Is there a way to change that?
