My DVD RW drive makes clicking noises when it trys to read a cd. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. My computer is pretty new too!! What could be the problem???

I have a DVDROM (E) and a DVDRW (F). The E drive will automatically start my player, but inserting a DVD in the F drive only brings up a folder view. If I start the player first, it will play. How do I get the F drive to automatically start the player?

I have a drive that Windows reports as having a bad block. I'd like to retrieve off it whatever I can. Is there any software utility for pulling off as much data as possible? All the utilities I've found seem to be primarily for retrieving deleted

My wife knew that my Microsoft cordless optical mouse was just about dead came back the other day with a new Belkin wireless keyboard & wireless optical mouse. I just plugged the transmitter into my USB2 port & both were immediately recognized.

update will not load into my presario 2500, laptop, which now has recently loaded xp upgrade pack , modem seems plagued with disconnects. When on line everything runs very slow? To start system I had to rollback to a older modem driver. any ideas? Is the chipset bad?

My Intel processor has 533 FSB, so naturally I have 2 sticks of DDR 333 ram installed. My mobo says in order to install DDR400, I must have 800 FSB. I would like to install DDR400 and mix it with the DDR 333 I already have.

When you look at changers on the Xp Compatability List you find only tape units and and expensive external CD library tower type devices. I have two internal changers that worked under W98 but are not on the Xp list and obviously are not supported as thay show up as single drives ...
