I have just bought a DVD burner and it has the option to connect by usb or by
IEEE1394. Which is best I am assuming the better one will be the fastest
transfer rate. Please could someone let me know which one is the best option?

I recently installed an Audigy 2 sound card (to replace a SB Live! that
was causing problems) and every now and then it seems the driver gets
trashed. What happens is sound from the system stops being processed
(like sound effects from a game or voices on Ventrillo) but whatever

there was not a scsi newsgroup  so i posted here. I am at work and one of the
computers hard drives failed and we do not have a spare except a scsi that
plugs into the card in the pci slot. But anyway when i bootup to a floppy of

My Samsung cdrom keeps disappearing on my Dell Dimension 2350. It can't eject
and disappears from MyComputer. I've removed 3rd party software such as "Nero
Burning" and I've already tried removing registry keys dealing with upper &
lower filter cdrom parameters. No success.

   My daughters cd drive went missing, I looked in device manager and it
says registry entry for the cd is incomplete or missing. So I did what I
would do with 98, uninstall it, reboot, and let windows find it again. It
just re-booted, didn't find any new hardware, device manager ...

I just installed a new secondary hard drive it is recognized in the system
settings and also in the CMOS however it is not recognized in the "my
computer" section of XP in other words it hasn't been assigned a drive
letter. I only have (4) IDE devices the other devices are ...

I have two soundcards in my PC, a semi-pro card (M-Audio Audiophile)
